The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought responses from the concerned parties over a petition filed against the social media show “Lazawal Ishq.”
According to reports, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of the IHC issued the directives during a hearing on the petition submitted by Faik Shah, Chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party.
In his petition, Shah argued that the show’s content violates Pakistan’s social values and moral traditions. He claimed that its scenes and dialogues promote obscenity and moral decay, which could negatively influence the country’s youth. The petitioner requested the court to impose an immediate ban on the program, citing its potential harm to public morality and cultural norms.
The court has directed all relevant parties to submit their replies before the next hearing.
