The Sindh government has fixed the price of a 100-kilogram flour bag and approved the Wheat Release Policy for 2025–26 to stabilize flour prices across the province.

The decision was made during a meeting of the provincial cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Sindh. Under the new policy, the government will release 1.265 million tons of wheat to flour mills, while the price for a 100-kg flour bag has been set at Rs9,500.

Chief Minister Sindh emphasized that hoarding and stockpiling of wheat will not be tolerated, directing relevant authorities to ensure fair distribution and strict market monitoring.

The cabinet also approved the reconstitution of the Sindh Enterprise Development Fund and the Sindh IT Company Board to promote entrepreneurship and digital innovation in the province. In addition, the Senior Citizen Council will be reorganized to enhance welfare initiatives for the elderly.

In another major decision, the cabinet approved the transfer of Aghosh Special Children School from Pakistan Steel Mills to the Sindh government to improve its management and services.

Furthermore, 78 temporary employees of the Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD) project were granted permanent status, ensuring job security for long-serving workers.

The Sindh government said these measures reflect its commitment to economic stability, social welfare, and administrative reform across the province.
