
The Al Zarooni 9th Students Olympic Games, organized by the Pakistan Students Olympic Association with the support of Buraq Sports (UAE), concluded in Karachi with a colorful closing ceremony. The chief guest was Engr. Sami Abdullah Salim Al Khanjari, Consul General of the Sultanate of Oman, who along with senior officials distributed trophies, medals, and certificates among the winning players.
The event was attended by SSP Saeed Arain, President Pakistan Students Olympic Association Maqbool Arain, Secretary Sindh Olympic Association Ahmed Ali Rajput, President Pakistan Pickleball Federation Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh, and President PECA American Makhdoom Riaz.
According to results, Highbrow College secured the A-Level General Trophy with 8,250 points. The O-Level General Trophy was won by Cadet College with 3,500 points, while Bahria School (North) Karachi clinched the Primary and Middle Classes General Trophy with 4,500 points.
More than 500 educational institutions participated in the games, which featured competitions in 24 sports, including athletics, archery, badminton, basketball, cycling, chess, catchball, dodgeball, cricket, futsal, fitness, gymnastics, handball, hockey, netball, padel, pickleball, rope skipping, skating, throwball, tug of war, taekwondo, tableball, and volleyball.
The Organizing Committee of the Games included Maqbool Arain, President Pakistan Students Olympic Association; Faisal Zafar, Chairman Karachi Students Olympic; Azmat Pasha, President Karachi Students Olympic; Abdul Samad from Karachi Students Olympic; and members Shariq Siddiqui, Ahmed Arshad, Owais Malik, Karam Ali, and Majid Khan.
