
The Power Division has released its latest report on electricity restoration in flood-affected areas across the country, confirming steady progress in bringing power back to affected regions.
According to the report issued on October 2, a total of 51 grid stations and 585 feeders were damaged due to recent flooding. Out of these, 429 feeders have been fully restored while 152 feeders have been partially restored.
In the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) region, covering Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot and Mianwali, 28 grids and 81 feeders were affected. The Power Division reported that 73 feeders have been fully restored and 8 partially. Electricity restoration in the FESCO region has been completed.
In the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) network, which includes Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura and Okara, 67 feeders were damaged. Of these, 66 feeders have been fully restored and 1 partially. The Power Division said that work to restore power for around 150 affected consumers is expected to be completed by October 3.
The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) reported 181 damaged feeders. So far, 74 feeders have been fully restored while 104 are partially operational. The Power Division said complete restoration in the MEPCO region will begin once floodwaters recede.
In the Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) area, 11 grids and 103 feeders were affected. Restoration has been carried out on 102 feeders while 1 remains partially restored. The Power Division said that electricity for 3 remaining consumers will be fully restored once the water level goes down.
The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) reported that all 90 affected feeders have been fully restored. Similarly, the Tribal Electric Supply Company (TESCO) confirmed that 18 feeders in North Waziristan and Khyber have been fully restored.
In the Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) region, 44 feeders were hit by flooding. Of these, 6 have been fully restored while 38 have been temporarily restored until conditions improve.
The Power Division reiterated that full restoration efforts are underway nationwide and will be expedited in areas where water recedes, ensuring electricity supply to all consumers at the earliest.
