
The Power Division has issued a detailed update on electricity restoration efforts in flood-affected areas, confirming that out of 585 impacted feeders nationwide, 417 have been fully restored while 165 are partially operational. A total of 51 grid stations had also been affected.
In Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) areas, 28 grids and 81 feeders were hit by the floods. Of these, 71 feeders have been fully restored and 10 partially restored. Power supply has been normalized in Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, and Mianwali.
In Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) areas, 67 feeders were affected. Restoration has been completed on 66, while one feeder remains partially restored. Power for about 150 consumers is expected to be fully restored by October 2. Electricity has been completely restored in Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, and Okara.
Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) reported 181 affected feeders, with 64 fully restored and 114 partially restored. Officials said full restoration will begin as soon as floodwaters recede.
In Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) regions, 11 grids and 103 feeders were damaged. Restoration has been completed on 102 feeders, while one remains partially functional. Three consumers still await reconnection, which will be carried out once water levels drop.
Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) reported that 90 feeders have been fully restored and one partially restored. Power has been normalized in Swat, Shangla, Swabi, and Dera Ismail Khan.
In Tribal Areas Electric Supply Company (TESCO), all 18 affected feeders in North Waziristan and Khyber have been restored.
Meanwhile, Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) reported 44 affected feeders, of which six have been fully restored and 38 temporarily reconnected.
According to the Power Division, overall restoration work is progressing steadily and will be expedited as floodwaters recede in the remaining areas.
