On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a comprehensive flood survey has been launched across the province to assess losses and collect data on affected populations.

According to official reports, commissioners, deputy commissioners, and assistant commissioners have been instructed to assist and monitor survey teams in their respective districts.

A total of 1,629 teams have been mobilized in 26 districts of Punjab, actively collecting data in flood-hit areas. The initial report reveals that within a few days, data of more than 27,500 individuals has been recorded, along with surveys of 48,071 acres of flood-affected agricultural land.

The survey teams have also documented the destruction of 8,305 houses and the loss of 1,712 livestock due to floods.
In Kasur, the flood damage assessment survey is scheduled to begin on October 1.

The Punjab government said the survey will serve as the foundation for targeted relief, compensation, and rehabilitation efforts for those impacted by the recent floods.
