
The Power Division has issued a detailed report on electricity restoration efforts in flood-affected areas, highlighting substantial progress across multiple distribution companies.
According to the report, a total of 51 grid stations and 585 feeders were impacted nationwide. Out of these, 396 feeders have been fully restored while 186 have been partially rehabilitated.
In the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) region, which covers Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot and Mianwali, 28 grid stations and 81 feeders were affected. Restoration has been completed on 71 feeders, while 10 remain partially restored.
The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) reported 67 affected feeders, of which 66 have been fully restored and one partially. The company expects to complete restoration for the remaining 150 affected consumers by October 1. Restoration work in Lahore, Nankana, Sheikhupura and Okara has already been completed.
In Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) areas, 181 feeders were hit. So far, 51 have been fully restored while 127 are partially functional. The company said full restoration will begin once floodwaters recede.
The Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) reported that 11 grid stations and 103 feeders were affected. Out of these, 102 feeders have been fully restored and one partially. Three consumer connections remain pending until floodwaters subside.
The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) stated that 88 feeders have been fully restored and three partially. Restoration has been completed in Swat, Swabi and Dera Ismail Khan.
The Tribal Electric Supply Company (TESCO) confirmed that all 18 feeders in North Waziristan and Khyber have been fully restored.
The Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) reported that 44 feeders have been temporarily restored in its operational areas.
The Power Division reiterated its commitment to ensuring complete recovery and said efforts are ongoing to restore electricity to all remaining consumers once water levels fall in the inundated areas.
