Pakistan’s U-12 tennis team arrives in Kazakhstan for ATF intercontinental event

The Pakistan U-12 tennis team has landed in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, to take part in the ATF 12 & Under Intercontinental Team Competition 2025, scheduled from September 29 to October 4.

This will mark Pakistan’s debut in this global junior team event, which brings together talented youngsters from 12 nations across Asia and beyond.

The national squad was selected after an impressive showing in the ATF 12 & Under Team Competition Finals held in Singapore from August 25 to 30. In preparation for this international challenge, the players underwent an intensive training camp at the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Complex from September 14 to 25.

Pakistan Team is comprising of Muhammad Shayan Afridi, Rashid Ali Bachani, Muhammad Ibraheem Hussain Gill, and Muhammad Abid (Team Captain) PTF President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi extended his best wishes, expressing optimism: “Our young team is strong and full of potential. This is a golden opportunity for these talented players to showcase their abilities on an international platform.” Secretary-General Col. Zia-ud-din Tufail also affirmed confidence in the team’s readiness and prospects.

As the competition begins, all eyes will be on these young Pakistani athletes to see if they can make a mark in their continental debut.
