Pakistan cricket team hires sports psychologist ahead of India clash

Ahead of their crucial Asia Cup match against India, the Pakistan cricket team has brought on board a sports psychologist to boost player performance and mental preparedness.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sources, Dr. Raheel has joined the squad as the team’s sports psychologist. His role is to help players manage pressure and enhance focus ahead of the high-stakes encounter scheduled for September 21 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Sources also revealed that the Pakistan team held an important pre-match meeting in Dubai. During the session, players acknowledged struggles with batting form but assured management of their commitment to perform strongly in the Super Four stage of the tournament. Head coach Mike Hesson expressed confidence in the squad’s abilities, emphasizing trust in the players’ preparation and potential.

The upcoming match against arch-rivals India is seen as a decisive fixture for Pakistan’s campaign, heightening the importance of mental conditioning alongside physical training.
