Power Division reports major progress in restoring electricity across flood-hit regions

According to the report, a total of 51 grid stations and 543 feeders were impacted nationwide. Out of these, 320 feeders have been fully restored, while 215 have been partially restored.

Under the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), 28 grid stations and 81 feeders were affected. So far, 38 feeders have been fully restored and 42 partially restored. Power for FESCO’s 60,919 affected consumers is expected to be completely restored between September 16 and 18.

In the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) region, 65 out of 67 affected feeders have been fully restored, with the remaining two partially operational. Power for 863 affected consumers is expected to be restored by September 17. Electricity restoration has been completed in LESCO-administered areas of Lahore, Nankana, and Sheikhupura.

In the Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) region, 180 feeders were affected, of which 9 have been fully restored and 164 partially. Complete restoration will begin once floodwaters recede in the affected areas.

The Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) reported damage to 11 grid stations and 103 feeders, with 101 feeders now fully restored and 2 partially operational. Power for 327 affected consumers will be restored once water levels subside.

The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) reported that 87 feeders have been fully restored and 4 partially. Electricity restoration is complete in Swat, Swabi, and Dera Ismail Khan.

In the Tribal Electric Supply Company (TESCO) region, 18 feeders were affected in North Waziristan and Khyber. Seventeen feeders have been fully restored, and one partially. Power for 996 affected consumers is expected to be fully restored by September 16. Electricity in Khyber has been completely restored.

In the Hazara Electric Supply Company (HAZECO) region, three affected feeders in Mansehra have been fully restored.

The Power Division confirmed that work is ongoing to fully restore electricity in all flood-hit areas and that operations will accelerate once floodwaters recede where necessary.
