Pakistani television actress Sara Umair has officially confirmed her divorce from director Mohsin Talat, breaking her silence after months of speculation.
She shared the news during her recent appearance on a reality show on a private TV channel marking her first public statement on the matter.
Sara Umair entered the drama industry in 2008, debuting on PTV and later earning acclaim for her versatile roles in popular dramas. She also gained fame after winning the reality show Desi Kadiyaan.
In 2014, Sara stepped away f rom the entertainment industry following her marriage to Mohsin Talat, focusing on her personal life.
Sara revealed that her divorce took place a few months before she joined the show. She explained that both she and her ex-husband work in the same field, which made it difficult to avoid crossing paths.
“I think I should tell everyone now that I have been divorced. It happened a few months before coming to Tamasha. I was under mental stress and had to face many problems as a single parent,” she said.
Sara described her participation in Tamasha as a much-needed escape. “There was no phone, no connection with the outside world, no meetings. I always wanted to spend some time in a place where there were no signals, and Allah gave me this opportunity,” she shared.
Reflecting on her resilience, she added: “I have seen so many difficulties in my life that Tamasha was just a game for me. When I saw people fighting there, everything seemed childish.”
