Saudi Arabia’s condemnation

In a statement issued by the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Riyadh expressed deep regret over the martyrdom of Pakistani soldiers during the attacks. The Kingdom reiterated its firm rejection of all forms of terrorism and violence.

Saudi Arabia also conveyed condolences to the bereaved families, as well as to the government and people of Pakistan, affirming solidarity in this time of grief.

Turkiye’s response

Meanwhile, the Turkish Foreign Ministry also expressed sorrow over the tragic loss of life in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Condemning the recent attacks as a “cowardly act of terrorism,” Ankara reaffirmed its support for Pakistan’s security and stability.

The statement added that Turkiye prays to Allah Almighty for the martyrs and stands firmly with Pakistan against such acts of violence.

On Saturday, 10 terrorists, backed by India, were killed during an intelligence-based operation conducted by security forces in the Lal Qila Maidan area of Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The operation was launched following reports of terrorist presence in the region. According to ISPR, seven soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom during an exchange of fire. The fallen included two naiks, one lance naik and four sepoys.

The India-sponsored terrorists had taken innocent civilians hostage. All the soldiers lost their lives while courageously fighting to protect these civilians. Intelligence reports suggest that Afghan nationals were directly involved in the attack.

Also, between September 10 and 13, Pakistan’s security forces carried out intensive operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, neutralising 35 terrorists linked to the Indian-backed outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). According to ISPR, 12 soldiers were martyred while defending the motherland.

The first operation was conducted in Bajaur district following intelligence reports about the presence of militants. During the engagement, security forces confronted the terrorists and successfully neutralized 22 of them after an intense exchange of fire.

In a separate encounter in South Waziristan, 13 more terrorists were eliminated. These individuals were actively involved in terrorist activities in the region, and security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the site. During these operations, 12 Pakistan Army personnel lost their lives while gallantly confronting heavily armed militants.
