TikToker Sana Yusuf murder case: court sets date for indictment of Umar Hayat

ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has fixed September 20 as the date to formally indict Umar Hayat, the prime suspect in the murder case of TikToker Sana Yusuf.

The hearing was conducted by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka, who handed over copies of the case challan to the accused. The police later took back the documents after his court appearance.

A murder case against Umar Hayat was registered at Sumbal Police Station on June 3, a day after the tragic killing.
According to the FIR, the incident took place on June 2 in Islamabad’s G-13/1 sector, where the assailant broke into Sana Yusuf’s residence around 5 PM and opened fire. The TikToker was struck by two bullets in the chest. The attacker fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

The indictment proceedings are set to take place next week, marking a crucial step forward in the case that has drawn widespread public attention.
