According to the ICC, the panel includes four match referees and 14 umpires from nine countries, marking the first time in history that an ICC World Cup will be officiated entirely by women.
Among the referees are Trudy Anderson (New Zealand), Shandre Fritz (South Africa), G.S. Lakshmi (India), and Michelle Pereira (Sri Lanka). The umpiring panel features well-known names such as Claire Polosak, Sue Redfern, Jacqueline Williams, Kim Cotton, Lauren Agenbag, Vrinda Rathi, N Janani, and Sarah Dambanevana.
ICC Chair Jay Shah hailed the announcement as a “defining moment for women’s cricket,” saying it reflects the council’s commitment to gender equality in the sport.
