Lahore: The ongoing flooding in Lahore has damaged the home of renowned actress and singer Arifa Siddiqui, a video of which has gone viral on social media.
Floodwaters from the swollen River Ravi entered a private housing society near Chuhang, submerging several houses, including Siddiqui’s residence.
In a video shared on social media, Arifa Siddiqui can be seen alongside her husband, cleaning the house as floodwater and scattered belongings fill the rooms. The footage also shows the extent of damage caused inside their home.
The latest spell of heavy rains and the rising water level in the Ravi River have left housing societies along its banks badly affected. Residents in these areas face severe hardships and have appealed to the government for immediate relief and assistance.
