Five Palestinians, including two children, have died from famine and malnutrition in Gaza over the past 24 hours, according to the territory’s Health Ministry.
The ministry said on Tuesday that these latest fatalities raise the total number of hunger-related deaths recorded since October 7, 2023, to 227, among them 103 children.
The ongoing Israeli blockade and bombardment have left much of Gaza’s population without reliable access to food, clean water, or medical care, with aid agencies repeatedly warning of an unfolding humanitarian catastrophe.
