Punjab decides to introduce uniforms for CCD to end corruption

1 min read

The Punjab government has decided to introduce uniforms for the Crime Control Department (CCD) to improve discipline.

Officials said the force was initially exempted from wearing uniforms, but complaints of corruption and abuse of authority during operations without identification prompted the move.

According to CCD sources, a special uniform design has been proposed, featuring a sky-blue shirt and dark-blue trousers. The final colour and design will be approved by the provincial government before implementation.

Once approved, all CCD officers and personnel will be required to conduct operations in the prescribed uniform.

Suspect arrested for exploiting children, making obscene videos

Faisalabad police’s Crime Control Department (CCD) have arrested a man accused of sexually abusing minors and recording videos of the assaults.

According to officials, the suspect was taken into custody from Satyana Road, where law enforcement also recovered objectionable material. Authorities say dozens of videos were seized from the accused.

A case has been registered, and further legal action is underway, the CCD spokesperson said.
