Mahira Khan’s nostalgic nod to Noor Jehan’s classic song goes viral

Acclaimed actor Mahira Khan has once again captured public attention — not through a film or television project this time, but through a stylised Instagram post that pays homage to the fashion and music of a bygone era.

The post, which quickly went viral, features the Raees actor elegantly lip-syncing to the romantic classic Main Te Mera Dilbar Jani, sung by the late melody queen Madam Noor Jehan. Dressed in a 90s-inspired pink ensemble by Sadaf Fawad Khan Studio, Mahira Khan is seen striking poetic poses — reclining on a bed with books, gazing at her reflection in the mirror, and adorned with delicate jewellery and softly curled hair.

The caption of the post reads simply, Moosam Hua Bay Iman — a line from the song that reflects the mood of the visuals and adds to the vintage charm.

Fans and followers of the Humsafar star responded with enthusiasm, flooding the comment section with praises for her timeless beauty and artistic expression. Many described the post as “cinematic” and “nostalgic,” while others lauded the actress for reviving a classic in a modern frame.

Mahira Khan, known for her elegant fashion choices and active social media presence, continues to be a trendsetter both on and off screen. While her performance career spans over a decade — with notable roles in Sadqay TumhareBin RoyeShehr-e-ZaatVerna, and The Legend of Maula Jatt — it is her consistent ability to stay culturally relevant that keeps her in the limelight.

Her recent film Neelofer (popularly discussed under the title Logro) has also received critical acclaim, adding to what appears to be a successful phase in her career.

In the past, Mahira Khan has also made waves across the border with her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Raees. Despite the political tensions that halted her Bollywood journey, her popularity remains undiminished on both sides of the border.
