At least 27 passengers were injured in an unusual accident at Khanewal Railway Station when a signal pole ladder struck multiple passing trains, railway officials confirmed.

According to railway authorities, the injured were traveling aboard Awam Express (up and down) and Musa Pak Express. Officials stated that many of the passengers had their hands extended out of the train windows when the ladder hit, causing injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest that unidentified individuals had deliberately pushed the ladder onto the railway track, leading to the accident. The injured include women, elderly passengers, and youth, but all are reported to be out of danger.

Railway officials have launched an investigation into the incident to identify those responsible and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
