During his official visit to the United States, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Asim Munir, held a series of key engagements in Washington where he addressed critical regional and global issues, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
Field Marshal Munir identified regional actors using terrorism as a tool of hybrid warfare and reaffirmed that “Pakistan has remained on the frontlines in the global war against terrorism.”
He emphasized that “Pakistan has made immense human and economic sacrifices for a safer world.” The Army Chief also pointed to the vast, yet underutilized, potential in Pakistan’s IT, agriculture, mining, and mineral sectors, inviting global partners to explore opportunities for shared prosperity in these areas.
Highlighting Pakistan’s consistent and principled foreign policy, Field Marshal Munir elaborated on the country’s balanced stance regarding regional and international conflicts. He asserted that “negotiation, diplomacy, and adherence to international law are the only paths to lasting peace.”
The Army Chief also stressed Pakistan’s responsible and proactive role in reducing regional tensions and reiterated the nation’s commitment to peaceful coexistence.
Participants in the meetings appreciated Field Marshal Munir’s clear, transparent, and realistic analysis of global and regional dynamics, the ISPR concluded.
