The International Cricket Council (ICC) approved on Saturday a set of new rules for both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Test matches.
From July 2, the use of two new balls in ODIs will be discontinued. Under the revised rules, two balls will be used until the end of the 34th over, after which a single ball will be used from the 35th to the 50th over.
This has marked the end of the two-ball policy throughout the entire innings in ODIs.
For Test matches, effective from June 17, teams will be required to name substitute players for concussion replacements prior to the start of the match.
These substitute players must be listed alongside their playing roles, which may include a batter, fast bowler, spinner or wicket-keeper.
