Polio programme seeks data on mobile populations from districts

1 min read

The polio eradication programme requested on Friday detailed information regarding mobile populations from all districts.

According to details, the district authorities are required to immediately submit data on these populations to the polio programme. A meeting was held to review the progress of the polio eradication campaign, chaired by Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Coordinator Adeel Tasawar.

Polio officers from 36 districts participated in the meeting via video link. Districts have also been instructed to submit detals of migrating populations.

Officials were directed to take steps to improve the performance of polio workers.

Tasawar said that an analysis will be conducted of those union councils that have shown poor performance in the campaign.

He added that the findings of the analysis must be shared with the polio programme without delay.
