Pakistan, China to explore cooperation in IT sector: Ahsan Iqbal

BEIJING (Internews): Federal Minister for planning, development & special initiatives Ahsan Iqbal has said that Pakistan and China have the potential on future cooperation in the field of Iinformation Technology (IT) and implementation possibilities.

While visiting the iSoftStone Information Technology Park in Beijing on Wednesday, Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan offers immense potential of investment in IT industry.

The Minister, along with the Pakistani delegation was received by Mr. Yin Lu, Vice President of International Business Department and Mr. Li Chuan, Vice President Intelligent Electronics.

Minister Ahsan Iqbal had a tour of the headquarters and exhibition area and was shown a demonstration of latest products, services and solutions being provided by the company. He was given a briefing on the company’s business development in Middle East and Central Asia. Pakistan’s side also delivered a presentation on technology integration in the construction of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Both sides expressed hope in collaborating to develop innovative digital technology products and solutions.

The Pakistani delegation included Mr Haseeb Gohar, Political Counsellor, Mr. Khan Muhammad Wazir, Science and Technology Counselor, Dr. Muzammil Zia, Infrastructure Specialist, Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives.
