US Embassy issues security warning, advises citizens to avoid Serena hotel Peshawar

PESHAWAR: In a recent development, The US Mission in Pakistan has issued a warning advising its personal as well as US citizens to avoid staying in Serena Hotel Peshawar due to security concerns.

According to the US Embassy security warning, US residents are advised to avoid staying in the hotel  from November 27 to December 16, 2024.

US citizens are encouraged to avoid staying in Serena Hotel or the area near it during the prescribed time periods due to security concerns and re-consider travel plan, according to US Advisory.

Additionally, it stated to avoid travel to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province due to terrorism threat.

The advisory described that the warning is based on credible security information.

However, the individuals already residing in the hotel or near it are requested to pay extra attention and be cautious and try to leave the area as soon as possible.

Moreover, US citizens are requested to review their traveling plans and monitor their daily schedules as well as stay updated with the local news to avoid any mishap.

Whereas, US residents are also advised to carry their personal identification with them and to corporate with local authorities to avoid any harm.
