BEIJING: Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian reiterates China’s strong stance against terrorism by calling it a common enemy of humanity.
While responding to a question in a daily press briefing, Lin on Monday emphasized that it is the shared responsibility of the international community to fight terrorism and prevent future tragedies from happening again.
Lin also said that China will continue its unwavering support for Pakistan in its fight against terrorism, ensuring the safety and security of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions overseas.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan and China have the resolve and capability in foiling any attempts to damage the longstanding China-Pakistan friendship and ensure that terrorists pay the price for their actions.
Lin stated that China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners and their iron-clad friendship has taken deep roots among their peoples.
Lin underscored that the attempts to undermine the mutual trust and cooperation between the two countries will not succeed.
China will continue to support Pakistan in developing its economy and society and improving people’s life, told Lin.
He also added that China will firmly carry out cooperation with Pakistan in various fields for the benefit of the two peoples.
