The threat of smog looms in the country as the worst air quality persisted in Peshawar.

According to details, due to the fewer rainfalls, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s provincial capital had been blanketed with smog. The medical experts had also sounded the alarm, saying, “The environmental pollution can lead to asthma.”

The air quality index (AQI) reached 123 in Peshawar, which usually remains 50.

The provincial health adviser had urged the masses to adopt preventive measures against smog.

It is pertinent to note that the threat of smog also continued to loom in Lahore and different parts of Punjab.
