Pakistan off-spinner Sajid Khan on Wednesday expressed his joy over taking the wicket of England veteran batter Joe Root.

Expressing his thoughts following his impactful bowling performance against the visitors, Khan said: “We had changed our plan following tea as England were playing attacking cricket.”

“We needed to bag quick wickets against England. It would be helpful for us to take up to a 90-run lead against England,” Khan added.

Recalling the Pakistan bowling performance against Bangladesh, Khan said: “We could not get early breakthroughs against Bangladesh.”

Talking about his comeback in the national team, Khan said: “From school to domestic cricket, whenever I had performed, I ruled out of the team.”

“We can win the match if post a 300-run target against England,” he added.

Sajid Khan had provided his mettle and justified his selection into the team by picking up four crucial wickets, including of Harry Brook and Joe Root.
