11 dead, 6 injured in firing near Pak-Afghan border

Eleven people were killed, and six others injured in a firing incident in the Kanj Alizai area of Kurram district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the deputy commissioner.

The injured victims were immediately transferred to various hospitals for treatment, sources said.

Police claimed that investigations are underway to determine the circumstances behind the shooting that is said to have taken place near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The situation in the district remains tense, and security forces are working to restore calm in the area. The deputy commissioner assured the public that steps are being taken to bring the situation back to normal.

Former MNA and jirga member, Pir Haider Ali Shah, expressed sorrow over the unrest in Kurram district, calling the situation “tragic” and urging immediate action to prevent further violence.
