YANGZHOU: The World Historic and Cultural Canal Cities Cooperation Organization (WCCO), headquartered in Yangzhou City, co-hosted the Canal Civilization and International Exchange at the Eastern Zhejiang Canal Museum in Shaoxing City, along with the Youth Dialogue on Canal Civilization and Canal Walk Action.

The initiative will promote walking, jogging, marathons, cycling, and rowing events in canal cities worldwide, with the goal of increasing people’s understanding of canal culture and ecological protection, particularly among young generations.

It also plans to create public spaces integrating educational activities, cultural exchange, artistic experiences, social interaction, and entrepreneurial support.
