ICC satisfied with security measures for 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan

An International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation met with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, to discuss the preparations for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy Tournament, scheduled to be held in Pakistan in 2025.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the security arrangements for the tournament, with the ICC delegation expressing satisfaction over the measures in place at key venues in Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad.

The delegation described the security arrangements as “satisfactory”.

Mohsin Naqvi assured the ICC delegation that the stadiums’ upgradation work will be completed well before the start of the Champions Trophy. He stressed that Pakistan is committed to providing international-level foolproof security for all participating teams, ensuring that players can enjoy the tournament in a peaceful and safe environment.

Naqvi also highlighted hat it was an “honour” for the nation to host the Champions Trophy. He reiterated that the PCB is finalizing arrangements to meet the high standards expected for such a major international tournament.

“The Pakistani nation loves the game of cricket, and we are eager to showcase our hospitality and passion for the sport on the global stage,” Naqvi said. He added that after the stadium upgrades, the facilities will meet international standards, further enhancing the experience for both players and fans.
