Deadlock continues between Govt, Fazlur Rehman over constitutional amendment

The deadlock between the incumbent government and JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been continued over the matters pertaining to the constitutional amendment.

Expressing his thoughts, JUI-F leader Maulana Attaur Rehman said: “The JUI-F has denounced the bill in line with the constitutional amendment. There exists no development over the contacts with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) pertaining to the constitutional package.”

“We haven’t decided on the meeting schedule with Maulana Fazlur Rehman yet.”

Omar Ayub commends Fazlur Rehman’s ‘role’ in constitutional amendment

Separately, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub commended Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday commended JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s “role” pertaining to the constitutional amendment.

Expressing his thoughts, Ayub asserted: “The things would had been lead to the martial law if the law was passed.” He took a jibe at the political opponents, stating: “Azam Nazeer Tarar, Bilawal Bhuto-Zardari and all other people have become stooges.”

“We will use parliament and pour onto streets in connection with the constitutional amendment,” he added.

Ayub urged the party workers to reach Minar-e-Pakistan at the public gathering on September 21.
