
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced the successful conclusion of its art competition for the design of a new banknote series, celebrating the creativity and talent of local artists and designers. The competition, which saw widespread participation from across the country, aimed to reflect Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and progressive vision in the upcoming banknote designs.

- **Ms. Hadiya Hassan** – 1st Prize for Rs. 500 denomination (Entry Code: NDB030815)
- **Ms. Aynee Zahra** – 2nd Prize for Rs. 500 denomination (Entry Code: NDB031111)
- **Ms. Noureen Aslam** – 1st Prize for Rs. 1000 denomination (Entry Code: NDB0313148)
- **Mr. Karim Muhammad** – 2nd Prize for Rs. 5000 denomination (Entry Code: NDB031801)
The shortlisted designs will now be shared with international designers who have been selected to collaborate with the SBP to finalize the new banknote series. These international designers will draw inspiration from the local submissions while using their own expertise and creativity to develop the final designs.
The SBP emphasized that the new banknote series will aim to capture Pakistan’s cultural richness and forward-looking aspirations.
