State Bank of Pakistan concludes art competition for new banknote designs

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced the successful conclusion of its art competition for the design of a new banknote series, celebrating the creativity and talent of local artists and designers. The competition, which saw widespread participation from across the country, aimed to reflect Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and progressive vision in the upcoming banknote designs.

The SBP expressed its appreciation for the artists and designers who submitted their creative works, stating that the submissions showcased an impressive range of artistic talent. 6. **Ms. Hadiya Hassan** – 1st Prize for Rs. 500 denomination (Entry Code: NDB030815)
7. **Ms. Aynee Zahra** – 2nd Prize for Rs. 500 denomination (Entry Code: NDB031111)

The shortlisted designs will now be shared with international designers who have been selected to collaborate with the SBP to finalize the new banknote series. These international designers will draw inspiration from the local submissions while using their own expertise and creativity to develop the final designs.
