The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) advisor to cricket affairs has not been announced yet.
Sources divulged on Sunday that the tenure of former fast bowler Waqar Younis expired on August 19. It is expected that Younis will be appointed as the team’s mentor for the forthcoming Champions Cup.
The last date for the submission of applications for the post of adviser to cricket affairs was August 19.
It is expected that a former cricketer other than Younis will be appointed as the adviser to cricket affairs.
The sources privy to the development said that there were no chances of an announcement from the PCB in line with the appointment of the adviser to the cricket affairs sooner.
