
ISLAMABAD: The exports of different information technology (IT) services of Pakistan registered a year-on-year growth of over 32 percent in July, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
The country’s IT services exports were recorded at 297 million U.S. dollars in July as against the exports worth 224.950 million U.S. dollars during the corresponding month last year, said the PBS on Monday.
Highlighting a number of steps the government has taken to boost IT exports, Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja said that Pakistan is fully focused on uplifting the IT sector.
Various government institutions are working in collaboration to enhance IT exports to earn foreign exchange, putting forward a number of initiatives as well as setting up platforms to enhance the digital skills of Pakistani youth, she added.
