The Accountability Court of Karachi accepted the request of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials to withdraw the reference of illegal recruitment in Pakistan State Oil (PSO).

Karachi AC heard a reference to illegal recruitment wherein former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appeared in the court.

NAB officials requested the court to withdraw the reference.

The court approved the request and ordered to send the reference back to the NAB chairman.

Speaking to the media outside the court, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that today should be a happy day for us.

“After 4 years, NAB said to withdraw the reference as I have been coming to the court for 12 years, it was not a case of corruption, and it was just a case of misuse of authority,” he said.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that cases are made against political people and it will be better for the country if NAB would be abolished.
