FIA offloaded 9000 Pakistanis suspected of illegal immigration in 2024

The FIA Immigration and Anti-Human Smuggling Wing has released its performance report for the first 7 months of the year.

According to the report, immigration officials have detected 27 cases of fake visas and prevented 27 individuals with fake passports from traveling abroad.

Additionally, 86 passengers were stopped from entering Pakistan due to various reasons.

The report also stated that investigations were conducted into 9907 individuals deported from abroad on charges of various crimes and fake documents.

Furthermore, 351 passengers were issued landing permits to enter Pakistan.

Airlines were fined Rs13 million for carrying passengers with suspicious travel documents and without visas, the report revelaed.

Two commercial vessels were also fined Rs1.5 million at the C-Port for attempting to bring in individuals as crew members. This brings the total fines imposed on vessels to Rs20.3mn in 16 such cases in 2023.
