Oil & Gas Development Company (OGDCL) Monday made the announcement to increase local oil and gas production as crude oil production increased from Kunar Well No. 11 in Hyderabad district of Sindh.

“960 barrels of oil per day are being obtained from Kunar Well No. 11,” OGDCL spokesperson said.

Increasing production will reduce the country’s import bill by $$3.19 million.

Earlier, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) successfully revived production from the Nashpa-4 Well, located in Karak district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The crude oil production from the Nashpa-4 well has surged to 330 barrels per day. Additionally, the well is now producing 7.7 million standard cubic feet of gas daily, along with 21 metric tons of LPG per day.

The well is a joint venture between OGDCL, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), and Government Holdings Private Limited (GHPL).

The additional gas will be injected into the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) network, ensuring a more stable gas supply for households and industries across Pakistan.
