A man from Bihar was bitten by a snake. In retaliation, the man attacked the snake, resulting in the reptile’s death. The incident occurred in the Rajouli area of Nawada, Bihar.

Santosh Lohar, a labourer working on the railway line project in Rajouli, was sleeping at his base camp on Tuesday when a venomous snake bit him. Instead of panicking, Santosh grabbed the snake with an iron rod and bit it three times, ultimately killing the snake.

When asked about his unusual response, Santosh explained: “In my village, there’s a belief that if a snake bites you, you must bite it back twice to neutralize the venom.”

Santosh was motivated to take such drastic measures by this peculiar piece of local wisdom. As soon as the incident was reported, railway officials expedited Santosh to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Upon hearing of this unusual incident, a crowd gathered at the hospital to see Santosh and hear his story. Numerous local individuals speculated that the snake may not have been venomous, or else Santosh’s life may have been in grave peril.

According to Dr. Satish Chandra, the physician treating Santosh, he is now recovering and is no longer in danger.
