Arif Lohar is a son of Punjabi legendry folk singer Alam Lohar, who changed the traditional musical landscape of the Punjabi singing back in the last quarter of the 20th century.
Arif Lohar has been promoting the legacy of his father by prompting the traditional style of Punjabi singing using the musical instrument chimta (tong) or ‘tambourine sword.
