In the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his commitment to transforming this relationship into a robust economic partnership.

“Joint efforts should continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade and investment,” PM Sharif remarked.

Hoping for Qatar’s interest in increasing investment in Pakistan’s priority sectors, the prime minister assured the delegation of the government’s support through the Special Investment Facilitation Council aimed at providing facilities to investors.

As the envoy of Qatar’s prime minister and foreign minister, Dr Abdul Aziz reiterated Qatar’s commitment to fostering closer ties with Pakistan.

Earlier, the minister of state visited the Foreign Ministry, where he was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. “Pakistan and Qatar have long-standing, broad-based bilateral relations,” said the Foreign Office spokesperson.
