Punjab senior minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Friday that 78 per cent of schoolchildren were not in the habit of eating breakfast.

Aurangzeb held a meeting with World Food Programme Country Director Coco Ushiyama in Lahore. On this occasion, both Aurangzeb and Ushiyama resolved to launch a programme to address the issues in line with the nutritional deficiency in children in Punjab.

“The establishment of the nutrition force is the topmost priority of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, said Aurangzeb.

The minister stated: “The e-mechanisation programme is equipping farmers with modern machinery.”

“The problem can be addressed with the bilateral cooperation of the donors and partners,” said Aurangzeb.

She maintained. “The CM will roll out the Punjab Solid Waste Management programme. Working will be done in 16 big cities in the first phase.”
