2 min read

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa have expressed their fondness for the food available in Karachi during their separate engagements in the city.

Addressing businessmen in the port city on Wednesday, Prime Minister Sharif urged them to show Pakistan’s rich culinary heritage to a large investors’ delegation arriving from Saudi Arabia soon.

He asked the businessmen to introduce them to local delicacies such as nihari and kababs and work together to strengthen business ties through gastronomic diplomacy.

Meanwhile, at a luncheon hosted by the Supreme Court Bar Association in Karachi on the same day, Chief Justice Isa reminisced about his memories associated with the city.

He recalled how he still remembers the flavours of Karachi’s food and how affordable the food used to be. “Coming to Karachi has brought back some old memories,” he remarked, recalling how good the food used to be back then.

The CJP fondly remembered the time when a kachori was available for just a rupee.
