1 min read

Two Japanese military helicopters crashed in the Pacific Ocean. One person died and 7 officials went missing. The two helicopters were last seen flying close to one another, based on flight data, according to the Japanese Defense Ministry.

The helicopter may have fallen into the sea due to a mid-air collision. The search for the wreckage of the helicopters and the missing persons is going on.

Japanese Defense Minister Minoru Kihara said rescue workers saw parts of the helicopter wreckage in the sea and they believe both helicopters have crashed. He said that the cause of the accident is not known at this time but we will try our best to save lives first.
