Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Congress Tuesday held its meeting in Karachi where MNA Shehla Raza was unanimously elected as President of PHF.
Shehla Raza interesting is also elected the first woman President of PHF. The Congress also unanimously elected Raja Shuja as the finance secretary.
Earlier, the then caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar approved on Sunday the replacement of Khalid Sajjad Khokhar as the president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF).
The nomination of a new president for the PHF has received the Prime Minister’s endorsement.
PM Kakar had asked the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) to assemble a panel of candidates suitable for the pivotal role within the PHF.
The premier had issued directives to the IPC to compile a comprehensive list of potential candidates within a week. It is noteworthy that Khalid Sajjad Khokhar has been at the helm of the PHF since 2015.
