Mohammad Akram wants Babar Azam to play as opener for Zalmi

Peshawar Zalmi Director Mohammad Akram said on Wednesday that his team wanted to see Babar Azam play as an opener in the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Speaking to media, Akram said: “Babar Azam is the captain of the team. It is up to Babar to play in whatever batting position he wants to play.”

He pointed out the team’s combination, saying, “Like every year, we have tried to form a good combination.”

Akram said, “For the past eight years, we have continuously reached the playoffs.”

“In terms of bowling, we had also picked a good team. We have a combination of international and local bowlers,” he said.

Acknowledging the potential of his batters, Akram said: “All the players are ready to play in any batting position.”
