UET ex-VC under investigation for allegedly recruiting 1,000 fake jobs

Anti-corruption Establishment has been investigating against three office holders for giving fake jobs to 1000 posts and asked for the record of the Registrar Controller Examination and Deputy Registrar and all the postings from the University administration.

Inquiry has been initiated against the registrar, controller examiner, and deputy registrar. UT Registrar, controller examiner and the deputy registrar have been accused of getting jobs through fake degrees.

ACE wrote a letter to the vice-chancellor of UET to appoint a focal person to deliver the record.

Ex-VC Mansoor Sarwar will also be investigated as Mansoor is being accused of fake postings and giving jobs to workers in violation of merit.

The record of all the postings including the registrar, deputy registrar, and the controller examination have been told to bring forth by Friday.

The focal person of UET has denied the charges and stated that all the accusations above are false and all postings were on merit.
