The federal government has announced a public holiday on the occasion of Iqbal Day, November 9.
In a notification issued earlier today, the Cabinet Division announced that a public holiday will be observed on Allama Iqbal Day throughout the country.
The announcement has put all the speculations regarding the holiday on the occasion of Iqbal Day to rest. It should be noted that the public holiday was canceled in 2015.
However, last year, the government decided to reinstate it. Furthermore, the official list of public holidays for the year 2023 published in December last year had already confirmed the Iqbal Day holiday.
