At least 12 young girls have been killed due to prohibited drug overdose at dance parties at farmhouses in Karachi, according to police.

The shocking discovery came to limelight after the body of a girl was found in the jurisdiction of the Sachal Police Station on September 27.

Sindh Police Special Investigation Unit (SIU) sealed the farmhouse of a government employee and arrested four caretakers including a woman and a manager.

Regarding the case of its kind, SIU SSP Junaid Sheikh said that the victim was given prohibited drugs and her body was then dumped at an unknown location.

He disclosed that according to the records of the rescue agencies, 12 young girls have been buried during past few weeks and what prompted the police was that no related record of the deceased was found.

While talking to internews, the police official said that they suspect that the latest discovery of a girl from jurisdiction of Sachal Police Station is continuation of it.

He suggested that all these young girls were given overdoses of prohibited drugs at dance parties after which their bodies were disposed of.

The police officials said that the investigation of the arrested suspects is underway while the rescue organizations have also been taken on board to prevent such cases from happening in the future.
