Pakistan has introduced a major facility in the visa process for foreign investors and business purposes. The federal government has approved an amendment to the visa policy for 103 countries.
On the recommendation of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), a business visa for six months will be issued immediately. Pakistani missions abroad will be obligated to issue business visas for five years within 24 hours, while short-term investor visas for one year will also be issued within 24 hours.
On the recommendation of the SIFC, a three-year investor visa will also be issued within 24 hours. The Ministry of Interior will be bound to issue investor visas for five years within 10 days. A work visa for two years will be issued by the Ministry of Interior within a month after receiving security clearance.
The federal cabinet has assented to the amendments to the visa policy through circulation of the relevant summary.
