Pakistan’s imports from India increase by 12pc despite trade suspension

Despite the suspension of trade, Pakistan’s imports from India increased last month by 12 percent on an annual basis. It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan’s imports from India have increased for the second time during the current financial year.

The volume of Pakistan’s imports reached $23010,000 in May last whereas in May 2022, the volume of imports from India was $20540,000.

Earlier, the imports from India had increased in February this year. In terms of increase in imports, India was listed among the top 10 countries in February

It is to be noted here that Pakistan suspended trade with India in August 2019.
